Decrease cart abandonment rates
Our client experienced high cart abandonment rates. Abandonment rates were over 80%. This caused a decline in revenue and a decrease in conversion rate.
We reviewed the customer journey using heat map and website recordings technology. From this, we were able to determine where the drop off occurred. This allowed us to make decisions on areas of improvement.
We implemented the following:
Cart abandonment exit intent pop ups that offered a discount in exchange for email.
Increased cart abandonment emails to run on Google Display and Facebook.
Implemented a mini cart. This eliminated the "cart" page, which is where we saw the highest drop off.
Revamped the cart abandonment email automation to include faster email times + discounts.
